The Disclosure

Jenny and Tom returned to the sheriff, having provided fresh information they had earned. Clearly, sheriff Collins believed that getting more help was necessary since he was still skeptical about the story told by Marcus. He further invited people within the community to the center and proceeded to call for what could be termed as a town meeting.

The meeting was held wherein Sheriff Collins spoke to the town people. Actually there are some questions about the intentions of some of the new comers in the town « Please every citizen should be careful and if one sees something suspicious then they should report it.

The absence of Marcus and his party in the meeting only amplified the impression that locals had about them – that of corruption. Tom and Jenny followed them up to the sheriff after the rather boring meeting. Standing in a stained, bloated space, facing an opponent so bizarre and hostile, Jenny couldn’t help but think, “Now what?”

The sheriff responded, “We await the verdict from the expert” “In the meantime, keep your guard up. ”

This was followed by the report from the expert after a few days. There were planned mine actions, based on which one can identify the maps and designs of large-scale mining. The foreigners planned to exploit the resources of the Maple wood region especially the rare minerals and do so under the knowledge of the town.

Sheriff Collins organized the second meeting and invited Marcus and his team into the negotiations this time. While raising the report, the sheriff said, “We have uncovered your intentions. ” “You have to vacate Maplewood,” Schultz said.

Marcus's composed manner faltered. "No, you’re not getting it," he said to me, his words devoid of any diplomacy. "It is not as straightforward here as mining. It is a matter of multi-dimensional armature. Some of the profound implications lie here. These are not ordinary minerals, for their possession can change the direction of technology…"

The poor people of the village looked shocked and angered as they murmured among themselves. Mrs. Parker shouted, “We will not sit idly and watch as you bring destruction to our town.”

“Hear us out, I beseech thee,” Marcus irrationally stated. "Our goal is not to harm you or bring you discomfort with our rather unorthodox approach. We wish to assist."

There was no uncertainty or hesitation with the sheriff; he was as steadfast as could be. He rose to his feet and nearly shouted, "It is highly important for you to go. You need to leave now. Right now."

However, due to the continuous increase of such occurrences, Marcus and his group decided to shift from Maplewood, thereby eradicating everything belonging to them from the place. Concerned about what they were doing, the people of the village stood as the black van with the witch outside drove away.

The Repercussions

Subsequently, the everyday life of the Emerald Earth was slowly returned to normal after the strangers had left the land of Maplewood. Once more, the old house on the outskirts of town was declarer empty and the people tried to leave the uncanny events behind.

Tom and Jenny were unable to rid themselves from the feeling that they had not heard the whole story. Since then they decided to conduct own research and used the data which they had got. The people realized that Marcus had been speaking the truth concerning the minerals that have been in known presence for so long. All things considered, it is impossible to deny that the prospect of many valuable and rare materials in the Maplewood region was a reality.

Surprisingly and at the same time, Sheriff Collins was momentarily dumbstruck albeit gracious enough to listen to their report. He then said, ‘If it is so, the Lord, the Bishop, the town and its resources must be defended. ’

The sheriff of the community first called for an assembly to deliberate on the new facts. Part of the community was concerned over various impacts and possible exploitation by the outside world while another part sought to benefit from the minerals.

Finally, the town decided to contact an identifiable environmental research organization so that an extensive survey could be conducted. It sought to ensure that any development taking place was mutually beneficial and would be of benefit in the future to Maplewood.

The study group was finally able to confirm the existence of various valuable minerals after many months. They released a plan that would really be pro-active for the environment yet would also bear tremendous gains to the town. The villagers could no longer help but further display their joy and anticipatory positive outlook towards the future.

Thus Tom and Jenny were portrayed as heroes because they did not give up and were determined to get a breakthrough in the case. Theirs was a job well done and consequently they had ensured a brighter future for Maplewood where doom had been averted.

Marcus and his group came back as the first sustainable mining that started with G. source Jenkins, however, this time they were partakers. The Nutrition Institute and the freedom partners worked closely with the people at the bottom level to ensure that the process was very open and those at the bottom benefited from this process.

The hated and feared foreigners who had acted in such a manner as to excite the people’s resentment and undermine their sense of solidarity at last evoked respect for themselves as fellow members of a community. Due to able and spirited citizens of Maplewood, the town achieved growth and did not compromise much with growth at the opportunity cost of its preservation.

Consequently, unlike in the fighting and division of the society found in the story” The Strangers,” the story focuses on the factors that lead to cooperation and mutual acknowledgment in creating a better future.

The End.
