The Cheerful Dog Episode 1

 A New Beginning

The story though is that folks who dwelled in Maplewood were serene – they did not live their lives at the speed of light. Everyone had this feeling of unity and all the common folks were aware of their identities despite their low class status. This small, glossy dog was pleased and alert, strolling around a town square in the early morning with its tail wagging. It was at the time that he had no collar on this neck, no a tag on this ear or the look of not being owned by anyone. Subsequently, the happy dog was sighted by the folks of the town, who were served questions on his origin.

The first person whom he met was Mrs. Henderson, who was rather a benevolent lady or, in fact, the baker of the town.
And with words starting with the phrases “Well, hello there, little one,” she kneeled to caress him. In response, the dog barked happily and wagged her tail passionately implying that she was very much ready for the adventure.

Mrs. Henderson looked at me and smiled, “You’re a social butterfly.
” “I’ll call you Buddy. ”

So, Buddy was loved by all of the inhabitants of the town rather quickly. Whether he was waving at children and imitating them on the playground, running after butterflies in the park, or just lying in a sunbed next to the café, smiling and waving at everyone, he was so nice that he always brightened people’s day. Despite this randy disposition of Buddy, it was not certain whether what he did in the past.

But it was nothing more than the combination of alphabets and numerals.

The subsequent comments provoked Mr. Thompson’s interest. Hopefully, we will be able to find out to whom this code corresponds to and who the owner of this working dog is.

As a further effort to acquire information regarding Buddy’s whereabouts he contacted the local shelters and even created Buddy’s lost poster on the social platforms. Meanwhile, Buddy continued to spread joy to Maplewood folk, blithely oblivious to the efforts to uncover his past.

A Joyful Reunion

One fine morning, while Buddy was in the park having a good time playing with children, Mr. Thompson received a phone call. Specifically, it originated from a similar town in a shelter. The person on the other call said; “well, we do have some details about the dog you are asking about; his name is Max, and he got lost a few months ago after the owners who had just relocated to Maplewood reported him missing.

On the one hand, he had unresolved feelings of affection for Adela; on the other hand he harbored resentment for her betrayal. While he was certain the village would hold his absence to its heart, Buddy or Max may be returned to their family.
He told this bad news to Mrs. Henderson and the other townspeople and they all gathered to discuss as to what the next move will be.

Mrs. Henderson recommended, but her words were sorrowful: “Perhaps we should go and notify the family that we have found their dog.

Later on that same day, Sarah, a young lady brought a cake for Buddy and came crying for joy that was caused by seeing Buddy. How wonderful she exclaimed, “It that really you? "But at last, as he recited the words ‘I’(heart) ‘believe 'ranking moist-eyed and rushed forward to embrace him.
Her new co-host – Buddy, also known as Max – immediately perceived her presence and greeted her by barking actively while aggressively moving his tail.

As for the kidnap of Max, Sarah explained the level of despair that was left on them as he disappeared during the transfer.
”allow me to express my gratitude for having provided care and protection for him”, then addressed the villagers. This one, though simple, is so powerful: Promising and conversational: ‘You have showered him with love,’ or its variants, ‘I thought that love has been poured on him in abundance.

On the Sunday morning when they had made the preparation and arranged all that they had to do, the people of the village had come to say their lasts goodbyes to the two characters that were known to them as Sarah Williams and Maxwell Wolcott.
Being friendly with the kids Buddy bid them farewell and the children hugged him and as if expressing thereby said, “We will miss you Buddy,” with a sad tone.

But before he ran away, Max greeted all of the kids as if he was barking, “Thanks for everything.

Max and Sarah had gone on with their lives, but his free spirit of joy remained a permanent part of the ambience, of the folks in Maplewood, a symbol of the joy that a small, fluffy puppy could bring into a life that has been rendered dreary by sorrow.
